Ras Alhague Fixed Star Talisman - Rod of Asclepius

An astrological talisman of the fixed star Ras Alhague, for healing, health, and deep insight. Ras Alhague is located at 22° of tropical Sagittarius, and is a prominent star in the constellation Ophiuchus, taking its name from the Arabic رأس الحواء raʼs al-ḥawwāʼ or ‘the head of the snake charmer’.

The talisman features a 7mm carnelian cabochon, claw set atop a blend of white sage, cedar, and frankincense, in a Rod of Asclepius style pendant. The pendant was carved in hard jeweller’s wax and cast in .925 sterling silver using the ancient lost wax casting technique.

The star, and the constellation to which it belongs, has a long association with the Greek gods Asclepius and Apollo, whose relationship with healing, medicine, and prophecy are well documented. The cabochon was engraved and consecrated during the electional window, as Ras Alhauge ascended along with the Moon in an applying trine to Jupiter.

The talisman comes with a complementary 55cm (22in), 2.0mm round belcher chain for immediate wear, a full colour information booklet including a custom ephemeris based on your location and detailed consecration instructions, and a complementary vial of ritual incense for consecration.
